UNCIRCULATED: UNC
A note in perfect condition with no sign of handling, folds and creases. The note must have sharp corners as it has been pulled out of a newly printed stack with its original sheen. A pressed banknote is not considered uncirculated. 

ABOUT UNCIRCULATED: AUNC
An almost perfect banknote. Some minor handling signs are evident. Folding signs at corners due to bank counting or might have one light fold at the center but not both. Corners need to be sharp.

EXTREMELY FINE: EF(XF)
A banknote in EF condition may exhibit folding signs (maximum of 3 light folds) or one strong crease. Light handling signs and slight wear at the point where the fold meets the edge. Clean paper, light handling signs and corners showing signs of wear.

VERY FINE: VF
Several folds both horizontally and vertically, signs of round corners, discoloration, no tears into the border and  handling signs are evident in this category of paper money. Paper quality is less than crisp.

FINE: F
Much less stronger paper, heavy folds with no center hole due to the folding. Circulated considerably. Minor tears in the border but not extended into the design. Might have staple or pin holes.

VERY GOOD: VG
Rounded corners, considerable circulation, discoloration, small hole at center due to folding. staple or pin holes might be present, the entire piece must be intact and discoloration are signs of a note in VG condition.

GOOD
Heavily circulated banknote. Writings by owners of note present. Pin and staple holes present. Rounded corners and center hole due to folding. A large piece of note can not be missing. Discoloration, stains, creases and heavy folds are present. Damage from being in circulation for too long. Weak paper.

FAIR: FR
Very used banknote. large holds, weak paper, tears and discoloration, rounded corners and lifeless paper. Might have large pieces may be missing or torn. Much less degraded than the not in good condition

POOR: PR
A completely unattractive and used banknote. Signs of wear and tear, lifeless paper, large pieces missing. Very undesirable. Pin and stable holes present, discolored and dirty, been written on. Lowest grade in the category.
